Master Management
The generalist first year and the two available tracks
The first year of the Master's in Management is built on a shared generalist core, giving every student a broad understanding of the firm's main functions. At the end of this first year, students have automatic access to two tracks: M2 Research or M2 Professional.
This generalist structure has two advantages. First, it provides a foundation transferable across a wide range of careers, without locking students into early specialization. Second, it builds soft management skills — decision-making under uncertainty, coordination, trade-off judgment, communication — which matter increasingly as AI automates the most codifiable technical tasks. As professions change rapidly, the ability to adapt rather than stay fixed in one role is a lasting advantage.
Administrative structure
Administrative arrangements for the master's differ by student nationality.
International students enroll in the DU Global Management, with tuition of €7,610 per year; on completion, they nonetheless earn a state-accredited Master's in Management, on equal footing with other graduates.
French students enroll directly in the Master's in Management and pay the tuition rates applicable to public institutions for EU-national students.
Please note: this program is taught entirely in English.
Research in Management
The Research in Management track is for both French-speaking and non-French-speaking students aiming for a doctoral thesis or a career in higher education. The second semester focuses on building skills specific to each disciplinary sub-field — accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, strategy — alongside writing a research dissertation. An optional internship is available, to protect the job prospects of students who ultimately don't continue to a PhD.
Global Management (Professional Track)
The Global Management professional track offers, in the second semester, a specialization built around five teaching units:
- Corporate Strategy — sharpen managerial decision-making through a deep understanding of market and competitive dynamics, and strengthen resource management and investment-needs assessment.
- Finance — build financial analysis skills, manage company performance using key indicators, and evaluate investment projects.
- Marketing — master the marketing approach at both strategic and operational levels, and support digital transformation.
- Leadership and HR Management — strengthen team management, communication, and conflict-management skills.
- Project, Innovation, Change, Data & CSR Management — leverage digital transformation and data for decision-making, design innovative initiatives, and integrate corporate social responsibility.
This track includes a mandatory internship of at least four months.
