Course Registration

  • Step 1: Choosing and registering for courses

ERASMUS students are allowed to select up to 5 courses from the EMS course catalogue. EMS courses are at the third-year undergraduate (Licence 3) and first-year master’s (Master 1) levels. You may choose courses outside your current level of study.

Students may also choose 1 course from another UFR (academic department), but should be careful about timetable conflicts and overlapping exam dates. You can also register for language and sports courses and earn additional credits. Information on these courses will be provided during the welcome meeting, so please check your emails and the updates posted on this website.

Warning! If you are enrolled in a course offering both lectures (CM) and tutorials (TD), you must attend all sessions and take both the continuous assessment exams and the final semester exam to earn your ECTS credits.

  • Step 2: Learning agreement validation

Your course choices must be approved by your home university and by the academic coordinator at EMS through the learning agreement. This ensures that your home university accepts the courses you will take at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and that you will receive the necessary credits to validate your international exchange.

Once your learning agreement is signed by both your home university and the academic coordinator, you must send it to the ERASMUS coordinator to complete your registration.

  • Step 3: Finalisation and possible modifications

Once the ERASMUS coordinator at EMS has completed your registration, the process will be finished.

It is possible to modify a course registration, but this must be done within the first 2 to 3 weeks of each semester. Your learning agreement must then be amended and reapproved by your home university and the academic coordinator at EMS.

Remember to inform the ERASMUS coordinator at EMS of any changes so they can be properly recorded. If you are not registered for a course, you will not be allowed to sit the exams.
